Do you have a passion for prayer and for Canada? Is God calling you to join the RLHOP Team as a missionary for at least a 6 month term?
RLHOP Missionaries will raise their own support (which can be administered through RLHOP) and will have a personally tailored role based on their individual skills and talents.
They can be involved right where they live, so having family, school, work or even other ministry commitments isn't a problem. The House of Prayer is virtual, so you can live in a big city or a rural hamlet, and still be totally involved.
The minimum weekly commitment for a missionary is 15 hours, and the maximum is full-time, so between 40-55 hours. These will be hours well spent as you not only pray but lead and mobilise prayer for our nation.
We are looking for individuals who are well-grounded in scripture and prayer, passionate for Jesus, humble and teachable, seeking to honour God in every area of their life and in a good relationship with their home church. A recommendation from their church leadership will be required. Some leadership experience is an asset, but not essential.
The Process:
- Initial Inquiry- we are sure you must have questions! Email us and we'll either respond by email or set up a time to talk where you can get a fuller picture of what being a RHOP Missionary would involve. We'll be praying for you as you seek God's direction.
- Consult Your Pastor- once you have a good understanding of what this opportunity looks like, sit down with your pastor and get their perspective on if it would be a good fit for you, and if they confirm it's how God is leading you.
- Fill in the Application- Fill in the on-line application and we will contact you for a full interview, to discern together if this is God's direction, and what your role in RHOP would involve, based on your personal gifts, experience and passions. It's at this point we'll ask your pastor to send us their written recommendation.
