This week while we were praying, through the scriptures He painted a picture of the magnitude of His intention for this harvest, as you read these verses, intentionally choose to believe, and to banish doubt from your heart.
"And Joseph stored up grain in great abundance, like the sand of the sea, until he ceased to measure it, for it could not be measured." Gen 41:49
"As the host of heaven cannot be numbered and the sands of the sea cannot be measured, so I will multiply the offspring of David my servant, and the Levitical priests who minister to me.” Jer 33:22
His famous prophecy of 1947 said, "When the Word and the Spirit come together, there will be the biggest move of the Holy Spirit that the nation, and indeed, the world has ever seen. It will mark the beginning of a revival that will eclipse anything that has been witnessed within these shores, even the Wesleyan and Welsh revivals of former years. The outpouring of God's Spirit will flow over from the United Kingdom to mainland Europe, and from there, will begin a missionary move to the ends of the earth." *
PRAY FOR THE WORD AND SPIRIT
For harvest to happen the gospel must be preached without cloudiness, compromise or condemnation. It must be clear, biblical and as radical as the gospel Jesus and the early apostles preached. It is the GOOD NEWS to a world weighed down in darkness, sin, guilt and despair. It will be offensive- as it has always been- but is the only answer. Pray for a clear, anointed, compassionate, preaching from pulpits and wherever our lives intersect the world. Pray that signs follow to confirm the message.
PRAY FOR INCREASE OF BIBLICAL LITERACY
Discipling a great harvest can't be done if we are weak in the Word. Pray for the Church to regain it's love and commitment to "eating the scroll". May the word be the true plumbline of practice and belief and the light, giving guidance for our feet. Pray for bible studies to once again spring up in the churches that have abandoned this practice.
PRAY FOR THE PRAYER MOVEMENT
Ask the Father to increase our passion for the lost, our vision of the magnitude of the harvest and our endurance to ask and keep asking until we see it!
